92 Ships Expected At Lagos Ports From Aug. 2 To Aug. 29
he Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), on Friday said 92 ships carrying assorted commodities would sail into the Lagos ports between Aug. 2 and Aug. 29.
The NPA said this in its daily publication, ``Shipping Position'', which was issued to newsmen in Lagos.
It said that the ships were carrying bulk wheat, petroleum products, bulk fertilizer, new and used vehicles, bulk malt and frozen fish.
The document also indicated that some of the ships would be coming with steel products, bulk salt, bulk sugar, general cargo and containers.
The NPA said that two ships; MV Harrier and MV Kota Bahagia, were waiting to discharge general cargo and bulk fertilizer, respectively, at the ENL Consortium terminal.
It also said that 10 fuel-laden ships were also waiting to berth and discharge at some terminals.
The document said that of the 10 fuel-laden ships waiting to discharge, three were laden with kerosene, while seven were laden with petrol.
The NPA said that the fuel laden ships would berth at Single Buoy Mooring (SBM), Ibafon terminal and Atlas Cove Jetty. (NAN).
